W-Make Recipe · Classic
The lean web interface for recipes, raw materials, glass chemistry, cost and batch sheets. It runs with no connection to live operations.
- My role
- Product architecture, frontend and calculation core.
- Technology
- Node.js · Express · SQLite · Web Components · Vite
- Status
- Live · recipe workbench
- Who it is for
- For quick recipe questions, with no shift operation or silos involved.
Situation
Not every recipe question needs the full operations system. Anyone who wants to check an oxide calculation, print a batch sheet or compare two recipe versions wants that done in a few minutes.
The scope is deliberately small: raw materials, oxides, redox, batch size, cost and versions.
Key decisions
- 01
Its own server and SQLite file. The workbench does not depend on the operations product and cannot overwrite anything there.
- 02
The sign-in is built with care: visible fields, password toggle, error messages at the field, and a note on which instance you are working in.
- 03
There is one running instance and a second domain with a frozen version.
A look inside
A look at the application.
The running instance and the frozen version contain demo data, and access is available on request.

The process at a glance.
01
Recipes
Version, compare, import and export, with reference to raw materials and cost.
02
Materials
Master data from which oxides and batch are calculated.
03
Chemistry
Oxides, redox and physics with a traceable calculation.
04
Batch sheets
Draft, scaling, preview and print-ready output.
What carries over
A tool can be reliable without modelling the neighbouring processes. It has to be clear about what it does not cover.
Password-protected. Temporary access is available on request.

Tell me where your process gets stuck.
A few sentences about the process are enough: what runs in lists or side calculations today, and who works with it. Within two working days you get a reply and a clear view of whether I am the right person for it.
